Plant / Product Features:A reed with a fine grey-green leaves with bark-banded wire-like slightly zigzagging stems, forming a large densely erect clump. It spreads slowly from a creeping rhizome. It has both male and female plants and when flowering the female plant takes on a red hue. Prefers full sun but will tolerate semi-shade. In dry rocky situations it takes on an orangey colour.
Landscaping Uses:Wetland revegetation. Will grow in normal garden conditions and even in quite dry areas. Has a lovely fluid look and moves gracefully in the wind. Great effect when mass planted. Good for water features and pond edging. Performs well in coastal locations and salt marshes.
